Adventure and film fans gather round! The launch of the BMC Women In Adventure Film Competition 2022 is taking place at Outside Café in Hathersage and you're invited!
We're teaming up with Outside and the Women’s Trad Festival ,the day before the eagerly awaited festival takes place to host a brilliant evening of films, talks, goodies and a charity auction with amazing gear to be auctioned off.
📅 When: Thursday, 5th August 2021 19:00 – 22:00
📌 Where: Outside Cafe, Main Road, Hathersage, S32 1BB
As well as screening of some of the 2021 winning films, we have invited along special guests Gilly McArthur, Ellie Fuller, Amira Patel, Judith Plowman and rising filmmakers Rachel Sarah and Frit Tam to share the behind the scenes and insights into their films, with the theme from last year’s competition being Make A Difference.
Outside will be once again running their wonderful charity gear auction with amazing donations from many outdoor brands during the interval. Get your hands on some bargains! There will be nibbles and refreshments available to purchase and we will also be bringing along our BMC Climb Britain photo exhibition so you can walk amongst some of the best climbing locations in Britain, all in one place, to further inspire your British tradventures this summer.
Admission costs £8 and £5 for BMC members. All ticket sales and auction money from the launch event will be raising money for subsidised places at Women’s Trad Festival as well as the BMC’s The Climate Project, their climate crisis-fighting project to restore our carbon-locking moors.
Please note : Tickets wont be sent out to you. They will be reserved for you at the door on the night.
So if you're an adventure film fanatic, around in the Peak District for Women's Trad Fest or happen to be climbing in the area come join us for our launch evening. See you there!
