The BMC has arranged for a local tree surgeon to undertake some work at Cratcliffe Tor this weekend (13 & 14 March).
We have the agreement of the landowner and support of the National Park Authority for this work, which is being funded by the BMC Crag Care Fund
The thinning of the tree canopy will enable more light to get to the rock, thereby improving climbing conditions.
It might be advisable to choose an alternative climbing venue for the weekend, as access to some routes will not be possible while the work is being done.
We apologise for the scheduling and the late notification, but were unable to arrange it for a preferred mid-week date.
BMC Crag & Habitat Management is a practical guide to the management of crags for the benefit of both climbers and flora and fauna.
