Behind the scenes at the BMC

BMC members cycled to open day

This afternoon in mild autumnal Manchester, the BMC office opened its doors to welcome visitors who came to have a look around the office.

All BMC members were invited to the office Open Day to take the opportunity to meet staff and discuss any aspect of the BMC's work.

Visitors included members of the Mynydd Climbing Club who had cycled here to view the Crux exhibit, which celebrates 150 years of British mountaineering.

Other visitors took the opportunity to discuss access issues, membership and to take out BMC travel and activity insurance.

One visiting member from the Innominata Mountain Club said: "It's great to meet the faces behind the emails".

Also a few locals popped in as they were interested to see inside the 'Old Church' building.

Thanks for visiting! We'll let you know when the next one will be.
