The Arc’teryx Big Mountain Weekend will be taking place from the 3rd - 5th May at the Sticklebarn in the beautiful Langdale Valley, Lake District. The aim of the event is to educate, share and improve skills necessary for enjoying the mountains and crags safely.
What does the weekend actually involve?
The weekend is based around a series of clinics, the majority run by British Mountain Guides from the International School of Mountaineering. These clinics range from rock climbing to wild swimming and there is something for everyone, from complete beginners to advanced. Even better, everyone who participates in a clinic will also get a free BBQ ticket on the Saturday evening.
“Events like the Big Mountain Weekend are so important for our climbing community. They are are great way to meet new people, discover new areas and get outdoors. Not only that, they also educate, helping climbers to build and develop their skill set which leads to safe crags for all of us.”
- Mina Leslie-Wujastyk, Arc’teryx athlete
