A Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary

Posted by Tony Ryan on 29/01/2008

BBC2 is screening a one-hour documentary tomorrow night (Wednesday 30 January) about the first ascent of Everest.

The programme features much previously unseen archive material and dramatic eye-witness testimony from members of both the British and Swiss teams to tell the inside story of this epic adventure and throw new light on the bitter controversies which followed.

A Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary: The Race for Everest starts at 7pm.
