Up-skill with Training Essentials, the skills-training programme for BMC members.
The courses, put together by the BMC and the AMI (Association of Mountaineering Instructors), provide you with the opportunity to develop skills in scrambling, climbing and navigation, to gain confidence and independence whether scaling a mountain or hitting the crags.
With a variety of courses, venues, dates and high-quality, BMC approved instructors, Training Essentials brings courses closer to members at an accessible cost of between £50 and £60 per day.
Ratios are kept low on these courses so that they can be tailored to the abilities and aspirations of the participants, taking in to account conditions on the day of the course.
Please note that some of these courses have a minimum experience/skill level requirement. This is to ensure that all participants can get a great experience whilst staying safe.
There are 8 one-day courses running on weekends throughout the year.
