Yorkshire Gritstone
Quarry that shut just before or during the first world war. Graffiti suggests climbing took place her in 1957 and the earliest recorded routes are from the late 1960s. climbs here range from classic quarried grit cracks, sculpted faces, steep slabs and some likely unclimbed features. in the further reaches of the crag you can find isolated prows and aretes with the some of the worst landing known to man. the main quarry faces north and is heavily shaded by trees
