Northern Limestone (Inland)
A small little gem with easy access and low grade routes.
We have good relationship with the caravan park owners, please act respectfully when passing through and follow directions carefully from the guidebook. Full details of the crag approach and new routes are available in the North Wales Limestone 2025 Supplement.
Parking and Approach
If approaching from Conwy on the A55 park on Glan-yr-Afon road, just past the cattle grid (dont block the gate!). Approach is through the Lyons caravan park.
This area includes Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment, Castle Inn, Penmaenhead as well as many other sports crags along the A55 corridor. Many of the crags, including Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment and Castle Inn all lie within land designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and vegetation removal, modification of rock faces, removal of rocks, etc. should be avoided.
