Parking and Approach

Park at the open area at the northern end of the village. 

Walk to the South End of the village, to where a signposted footpath heads of east. Cross the stile and turn almost immediately right on to vague footpath (shown as a right of way on OS maps). The path rises a little then descends into an open area; just before this a zig zag path leads left up the hill to the base of the crag. 

Area information

This area includes Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment, Castle Inn, Penmaenhead as well as many other sports crags along the A55 corridor. Many of the crags, including Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment and Castle Inn all lie within land designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and vegetation removal, modification of rock faces, removal of rocks, etc. should be avoided.
