Barreledge Quarry

Southern Gritstone

A dirty quarry just above Black Rocks. "Any stray military aircraft flying overhead with a spare bomb may may want to note the crag's co-ordinates." BMC Froggatt to Black Rocks.

The quarry itself has a small number of worthwhile but usually dirty routes and a few low quality bits of bouldering.

The Barreledge area is a mini edge of natural grit hidden in the pine trees above the quarry towards the trig point on Barreledge itself. Worth a visit for the bouldering.
