RAC boulders

Snowdonia

Situated on the road between the top of the Llanberris Pass and Capel Curig (nr the the Capel Curig end). 30 or so quality problems on great rock. Really nice V0/1/2's and a cracking V4/V6var slopey traverse. Enough stuff for a good couple of hours and makes a nice change from the Pass. Guide: North Wales Bouldering / Bowldro Gogledd Cymru

Group Advice

This area is popular with groups and some scrambling is often used around this area. Expect that some minibuses could be parked up.

Area information

A wide range of cliffs - mainly traditional and multi pitch inc. the popular Llanberis Pass, Idwal Slabs, Clogwyn du'r Arddu and Cwm Silyn cliffs, but also outlying outcrops such as Carreg Alltrem. Many crags are on CROW access land - but not all especially some of the outcrops which lie on private enclosed land. Most of central Snowdonia is both designated an SSSI and also is an European Special Area of Conservation on account of the upland habitat and associated geology and plants found here.
