25/11/2025 It has been reported that a boulderer was asked to leave by a pheasant shoot which was taking place.
Climbers are reminded that there is no official access here and although this is the first instance of an interaction with shooters, hunting may take place here on dates between 1st October and 1st February (excluding Sundays and Christmas Day). Climbers should be aware of the hazard this represents and that they are trespassing and may be asked to leave.
4x4 vehicles parked around likely entrance points are an indication that a shoot may be taking place when you arrive.
If a shoot happens while you are at the crag it is best to make your presence known as soon as possible. Better to be asked to leave than to risk injury.
As ever, if asked to leave at any crag please do so politely and request a name and contact details so the BMC can follow up.
Parking and Approach
Access via the Andle Stone and Doll Tor stone circle then head straight down through the woods on a vague path. Be discrete as this is a new venue and the access situation is unknown. Please, please take great care accessing and carrying pads in. The Slug block is in full view of the houses below so keep a very low profile if you visit here.
