Craig Bryn Dulas

Northern Limestone (Inland)

The land belongs to LLanddulas Landfill complex, in 2024 some new bolting has been undertaken and most of the routes have now been re-bolted, however some areas still need work and some loose rock still remains, please take care on the crag and check that the bolts look new before setting off. 

The crag is above the North Wales Path and within easy walking distance of the main Craig Y Forwyn.

Parking and Approach

Parking is in a residential area in Llysfaen, on Gadlas Road, follow the Public footpath to the right of the play ground, keeping straight until you get to the fence surrounding Llanddulas quarry , follow the fence around to the right, heading up a small hill as you reach the top the crag is directly below you head to the right hand side looking out and descend on the South side of the crag. 

Area information

This area includes Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment, Castle Inn, Penmaenhead as well as many other sports crags along the A55 corridor. Many of the crags, including Craig y Forwyn, Llanddulas escarpment and Castle Inn all lie within land designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and vegetation removal, modification of rock faces, removal of rocks, etc. should be avoided.
