Access is by abseil onto a tidal beach which is generally dry 2 hours either side of low tide but spring and neap tides. Several fixed abseil stations exist on the Middle and North Fin - as with all fixed equipment, make sure you assess it's quality before committing to using it.

Parking and Approach

Traditionally climbers have parked (3-4 cars) on the verge near an entrance with a large metal gate 2-300m past the satellite dishes. From here a jump over the gate and a tarmac track takes you to the perimeter fence of the satellite dishes where you then follow rightwards to the coast path. At the bend in the coast path, there is a small track through the gorse taking you to the top of the North Fin. However signage on the gate makes it clear that the landowner does not grant parking or approach via this route. To date no action has been taken to enforce this but climbers are reminded that this approach is trespass.

There are three alternatives (which are not that much further to walk): To, the North from the parking areas above Stanbury Mouth or better, from the main free NT carpark at Duckpool and the coastal footpath or a PRoW 250m up the lane just past an old farmhouse which joins the Coast Path.
